Ensemble Boulanger loves presenting chamber music in its original context: homes and gathering rooms. If you have a home with a piano and room for a few listeners, you can host a house concert with Ensemble Boulanger!
When you provide the venue, Ensemble Boulanger provides the musical program. You can choose from our selection of programs, or we can discuss building a unique program around a theme of your choice.
Our versatile programs can include piano solos, piano duets, music for voice and piano, and spoken commentary. We also welcome interactive gatherings, ranging from leading cultural discussions, to singalongs and workshops.
House Concerts
A house concert is a beautiful opportunity to show hospitality to your chosen guests, and foster discussion and good company. As the host of a house concert, you provide the room and piano, invite your chosen guests, and provide additional hospitality as desired - whether it be a dinner party with music, or house concert with light refreshments, or whatever you envision for the perfect gathering. Ensemble Boulanger provides the musical program of your choice.
Events
Ensemble Boulanger can bring musical performances to your library, school, church, or any room with an acoustic keyboard instrument and a group of people interesting in experiencing vital, up-close music-making. Our musicians are experienced educators, and we can adapt programs for any age of audience, whether it be an interactive children’s concert or a guest lecture-recital to at high school or university class. Our programs lend themselves well to afternoon teas, dinner theatres, language classes, history classes, and of course, arts programs.
Fees
Fees are negotiated for each event. Many hosts choose to collect a freewill offering from guests for the Ensemble’s honorarium.
